Hello, World!

So my unintended vacation from photography and this site has come to an end and I'm very happy to be back.

My day job dominated my life all December and terrible weather made even my meager Saturday sojourns to San Francisco futile. I worked seven days a week, upwards of fourteen hours each day, to complete projects before year's end, and I'm happy to say I accomplished everything.

My dad talks about his intern days, of working endlessly, of looking at his watch and realizing he had twenty minutes to himself and that it thrilled him to know he could spend all that time selfishly sleeping.

My life's been nowhere near that, by I romanticize it like that. I miss it, a bit. For me, though, the late nights and weekends meant I could walk past the rows of empty cubicles and indulge in bizarre behavior like talking to myself in a fully engaged manner, hand gestures going and everything.

I'm an introvert only when people are around. Alone, I get all gregarious and can't seem to be contained.
