'Diane Arbus Revelations' will be at the SFMOMA Oct 25 - Feb 8. This show, to put it mildly, is a really big deal, since it's the first major showing of her work since her posthumous retrospective in 1971. If you're interested in photography and are on the west coast, this is possibly the most important show of the year. An absolute must-go.

Not far from SFMOMA, the Fraenkel Gallery usually has a few Arbus prints for sale. Fraenkel is fantastic. I visited them a couple of times when they had the huge Avedon blow-ups from Warhol's studio on the wall, and some excellent August Sander prints in one of the back rooms.
